No — we don't take bookings. Norse is walk-in only, so just drop by during opening hours.

We're at 26 Market Place, Durham DH1 3NJ, on Market Place in Durham city centre, a short walk from the Cathedral and the train station.

What food do you serve?

Swedish and Scandinavian small plates made to share — Toast Skagen, oak-smoked salmon, herring on toast, gubbröra, smoked venison and more.

Can I buy wine to take home?

Yes. Norse is a wine shop as well as a wine bar — every one of the 100+ wines on our wall is available to take away.

Can I hire Norse for a private event or wine tasting?

Yes, we host private hire and exclusive wine tastings for birthdays, corporate events and groups of friends. Email us to discuss dates.

Can you cater for allergies?

Due to our small kitchen and service area we unfortunately cannot cater for allergens.
